Blarg! I live! So yeah, I moved at the end of April and was only expecting to be internetless for a week or so. Not so much.

I really don't have much to say right now, since it's 3:30 am and I'd like to go to sleep. But yeah for internets and Livejournal friends.

Sleep.

So, I had this up on my Facebook account, but I still have some unanswered ones, so I thought I'd copy and paste it over here and see if any of you folks could get them :)

Also, if the person who answered has a LJ account I linked them. However, most of these peole don't really use LJ anymore. It just felt weird not to link them...

Poirot
1.

Do you change clothes when you come home from work or class? What do you put on?

View other answers

Pretty much as soon as I get home I change into pajamas' or "Lazy Clothes," which are clothes that I would only wear around the house.

2.

If you were in trouble or ran afoul of the law, which fictional detective or investigator—from tv, movies, or books—would you want to help you?

HERCULE POIROT!!!!!

From the Agatha Christie books. They've also been made into movies and TV shows and anime.

David Suchet plays Poirot in the British television drama Agatha Christie's Poirot, which has been running since 1989.

"Rodney was giving him a faintly suspicious look. "This had better not be the part where you tell me you want to pee on me," he said seriously.

John rolled his eyes, but somehow his left hand had started rubbing little circles against the soft skin of Rodney's belly. "I don't want to pee on you, Rodney," he sighed.

"Well, I don't want to pee on you, either," Rodney asserted definitively, his tone seeming to indicate that the conversation was over."

A wonderful fanfic. That is the only part involving talk of peeing on each other, just incase that might make it more or less likely that you'll read it. Quite long, but a lovely read.

Okay, so some of the public is concerned that the incident won't be looked into well
enough and hold a peaceful rally. That's fine. I really support peaceful rallies for what ever you believe in.

But the rioting afterwards and attacking police officers, firefighters and the fucking paramedics? SO. NOT. FUCKING. COOL.

I hope that everyone they managed to round up has to do some serious community service helping rebuild all the business and shit they destroyed, not to mention some hefty fines.

Oh, and maybe some jail time, like a weekend or two wouldn't hurt either.

Seriously, those people need to smarten the fuck up. Or hey, if they're here on work visa or anything like that? Maybe they need to be sent the fuck home.

Gawd.

It's been a minimum of 30 degrees {celsius!*} pretty much every day for 3 weeks in the apartment.

I'm pretty sure my brain has fucking melted out of my ears.

*Some random internet site tells me that 30 ºC = 86 ºF.

Something that makes me unhappy; When I want to go to bed early because I open the store tomorrow and then it turns out it's almost midnight and I still have to shower. Not that the not getting to bed as early as I'd like doesn't happen basically every single night.

Also, I was looking through my old journal (like, a tangible one that I actually had to use a pen and write in) and one entry in 2003 was "What does am & pm stand for? After midnight and pre-midnight?. For reference sake, I didn't think PM actually stood for pre-midnight, I just couldn't come up with anything.

Anyways, I got around to googling it (I'm prompt!) and according to the AskOxford entry that turned up, "These abbreviations represent the Latin phrase ante/post meridiem, which mean 'before/after midday'. They have been in use in English since the 17th century."

And now you know.

Awake, barely

Oh man, I totally never went to bed last night. I was reading Stargate Atlantis fanfiction and next thing I knew it was 6am!

Since I work at 8:30 am tomorrow, I've opted for the Drink Lots Of Caffeine To Make It Through The Day method. When Mike gets home maybe we'll watch and episode of two of Twin Peaks and then I'll go to bed early.

Uh, other then that not a whole lot been going on. Been getting more hours at work, and if that keeps up I won't have to go look for a second job. I mean, I'm not all about the working, I'd be happy with around 32 hours a week. That was what my full time cashier position was at Value Village. But I usually get around 15 hours which is rough. We're just not a busy store and are only open to 5:30pm four of the six days we're open.

Blah. I am hoping my sentences make sense...

This is probably pretty close to the truth.
